Dear Colleagues,

 Issue 7 of the _Geneva Digital Watch_ [1] newsletter is out! Published
on 31 January 2016, the issue provides the latest digital policy updates
which took place in January. The main highlights:

 	* This issue's EDITORIAL highlights 'techno-realism' as the echoing
message for the month, reinforced by two reports published in January:
the World Bank's report on _Digital Dividends_, and the World Economic
Forum's report on _Internet Fragmentation_.
 	* The feature on PREDICTIONS FOR 2016 looks at the global trends we
can expect in the upcoming months, and predicts the main developments in
digital policy, including privacy, security, e-commerce, legal
developments, net neutrality, the IANA transition process, and more.
 	* Included in this issue are the MAIN DEVELOPMENTS IN DIGITAL POLICY;
the EVENTS WHICH TOOK PLACE IN INTERNATIONAL GENEVA; and UPCOMING EVENTS
taking place in February.
 	* On a lighter note, the just-for-fun section features a crossword to
test your knowledge on E-PARTICIPATION, the central theme of the Geneva
Engage conference which took place in January.
